Pipe-still heaters

Pipe heaters used in various industrial processes usually have two major parts: radiant chamber and a convection chamber. In radiant chamber burners are placed, where fuel (gas or fuel oil) is burned and radiant tubes that absorb radiation heat. Flue gases produced in the radiant chamber are then directed into convection chamber. In convection chamber there are convection pipes that receive heat from cooled flue gases leaving the radiant chamber with a temperature of up to 950 °C. Then cooled flue gases are discharged into the smoke stack.

Direct-fired heater types:

  • Process heaters of the TsS type with direct heating of the coolant, of up to 20 MW heat capacity;
  • Heaters with an intermediate coolant, of up to 0.7 MW heat capacity;
  • Air-gas heaters with 0.45 MW capacity.
